At last, we bring an end to the year with the jolliest holiday of them all: Christmas! You can bet I have been playing holiday music all month since Thanksgiving passed. We put up the tree, and the twinkling lights have become his favorite thing to stare at in the house (if the tv is off). We even went to visit Santa, twice! The cute outfits gifted to us for the holidays have been adorable and plentiful, helping us introduce this awesome time of year to Alekos.
He's too young for many family traditions that I would like to start with my family, but those that I can do, I have. From reading "The Night Before Christmas", to pictures with Santa, and choosing Christmas day pajamas, have been super fun to experience. Sadly we couldn't have too much of a traditional Christmas day because we tested positive for COVID-19 the week of Christmas and it forced us to quarantine at home for the remainder of the year. This prevented us from sharing such a special moment with our family, but we made do by recording Alekos opening his first gifts and sharing these videos with the people that sent them.
Hopefully next year we can spend the holidays with our families so they can create memories with our little one too. Above all, health first, and we did the responsible thing of staying home and waiting out the storm. New years came and went, and then Ros and I had our birthday week just in time with negative test results. I look forward to seeing what we can accomplish in 2022! Stay safe everyone!
