First and foremost: HAPPY HALLOWEEN MYSTICAL READERS!
I love this time of year! The moment October 1st happens, I hit the spooky playlist and start to decorate my LIFE. From my room to my locker at work, to the background on my cell phone. Black and orange dominate my color spectrum for 31 days.
I have some traditions that must be held: watch Hocus Pocus, all 8 Harry Potter films (preferably in a single weekend!), open stash of candy available somewhere in the house (terrible idea of course), The Nightmare Before Christmas (which I'll watch again before Christmas arrives), and window stickers. I adore window stickers. This time I added them to the inside of my car too! A little ghost, or a scary pumpkin, maybe even a glittery skull!
Sadly I was never able to get onto the "Pumpkin Spice" craze. Coffee is coffee, all year round for me. Oh well! Plus I strongly believe that you are never too old to dress up! As an art teacher, I always like to do small themed projects that embody a bit of their souls and brings life to their work. This year for Halloween we did Monster Bookmarks. They are pretty easy to make and friendly for all age groups.
My students love using googly eyes for theirs. It adds a little more life!
