Looking back at when this year first started, I was full of hope and drive to do new things. Take this new decade by the horns and make it mine, but that is not what happened. Before I knew it, I am halfway through June and I'm still trying to process January. I think everyone can agree that this year needs a whole reboot. From Australian fires that burned for endless weeks, to coronavirus, skipped right by the UFOs evidence the pentagon released, and into the Black Lives Matter protests that have taken over not just our country but also the world.
Despite all that, I don't want to lose sight of my original goals for 2020. That's why next week I will be embarking on an 11-day road trip. I will be crossing multiple states with my partner, exploring different national and state parks. The goal is to see the natural wonders and beauties (cheap too), while also reflecting on what is happening in our world and how we are a part of the bigger picture.
I plan to document my adventures, as well as take pictures along the way. I will separate my posts by the adventures within each state. This will help keep a chronological journal of this awesome road trip we have drafted up. I've never done a road trip like this one and I can't wait to see what awesome adventures we come across.
Let's take back 2020 from all this negative energy and mold it into a better year, together. Peace! Happy New Year 2020 2.0!!
