Yes Theory Reaction!

After posting my Yes Theory thoughts, a reader on my site shared their own testimony after putting it into practice! Because this is the first time for me that someone does this, I wanted to share it through a follow up post instead of it getting lost in the forum. Thank you for reading my work, applying my advice to your life, and sharing about your experience.

Today August 16, 2018 I am trying to apply the “Yes Theory!”

I am at a random Mexican restaurant close to home. I have walked by Webster Avenue for many years and I have never even attempted to enter this restaurant! The Girasoles Mexican Restaurant.

I just ordered a lemon frozen margarita and an order of guacamole. I already like the idea of doing this. I am actually writing about it! The waitress just told me that the lemon flavor was not available so I changed the order to a tamarindo flavor. Instead of salt, I will get some kind of sweet and sour mixed on the top of the glass!

Only in New York! I am at a Mexican restaurant listening to Alex Bueno a Dominican singer, who is singing a Balada.

Now, random stranger, just approached me in the restaurant asking me to pay for some scrambled eggs for him. I told him that they didn’t sell that at the restaurant, then he asked for French fries. I told the waitress that I would pay for them. One of the workers told the guy to stop asking for money or food in the restaurant, but in his defense, he only asked for food. He looked clean to me and he was not drunk. The guy sat next to me and waited for the French fries. While he was waiting, another customer approached him and gave him five dollars. The guy said, “gracias” in a foreign accent. The fries were finally ready and the waitress asked him if he wanted to fries to go or to stay. He said, “to stay.” He ate all the French fries and he poured lots of ketchup on those fries.

Oliver was his name. He told me he was a cook for two years in Germany in the year 1977. I told him that in that year I was only three years old. He also told that he was in the USA army for six years and four in reserve. He must be around 65 years old or older, hard to tell since he is black American... they hide their age well! As I was leaving the restaurant Oliver asked me if I was driving home and I told him I was walking. He said, “Get home safe and be careful out there.” He said “gracias” in Spanish and German to me. He looked like a very kind guy to me. I am glad I decided to enter that restaurant.

Thank you Mystical Reader for sharing your story! Can't wait to hear others too! I've gotten other feedback on Instagram and Facebook about my last post, and it brings me a lot of joy to know others are taking my words as food for thought. As I apply it and experience in my own life, I promise to share those adventures as well.

I've added a section in the Community Page under Community Journal for Yes Theory Testimonies to be welcomed! If you are brave enough to share your tale, then we are more than willing to read and celebrate you!
